How it works

Where can I pick up my bag?

We have four locations in New Brighton. See our Contact page for locations and pick up times.

Are you at St Faiths?

We are not based at St. Faiths, but we are doing similar work providing affordable produce for our community. Their bags are a great option if Saturdays don't work for you, or you don't want to order online.

Where does the leftover food go?

Unsold fruit and vegetables are donated to Community Fridge and Pantry New Brighton (Foodbank), on Hawke Street.

Is the food grown locally?

The produce is sourced from local New Zealand growers. Some fruits like bananas and mandarins can be imported.

Where does the profit go?

The product is priced to cover operational costs only. This community food supply is not for profit.

What is Foodtogether?

Foodtogether is a licensed brand of social enterprise Do More Good Ltd, which has been helping New Zealanders access affordable fruit and vegetables for over 25 years. Foodtogether exists to encourage communities to gather together, alleviate food insecurity, enliven public spaces, and help keep healthy kai as a daily staple in all households. We do this by providing the support, compliance, and logistics to help communities across New Zealand operate food co-operatives and pop-ups.

Orders

How do I buy?

Order here on this website, then you'll pick it up at the location you selected. See our contact page for locations and pick up times.

To order:

1. Select your product you want to order.

2. Select either "one time order" or "subscribe" then click add to cart

3. Go to Cart and Check out

4. Select your chosen location (you must do this every order).

5. Add payment details and click "pauy now"

Order cut off is Thursday 6pm for all pick ups (Saturdays and the following Monday).

Do you deliver?

Not yet, but it's in our plans for the future. Watch this space.

Can I choose what goes in my bag or swap something?

Because we order our produce, it's not possible to choose what goes in your bag.

How do I change/cancel an order?

If you've placed a one-off order by accident, please email us before Thursday at 6pm, and we will cancel your order.

If you signed up for a subscription, you'll receive an email from our subscription App, Appstle - open that email and click "manage subscription" from there you can cancel or change your subscription, or skip a week.

How do I log in?

You'll receive an email for any orders or subscriptions you order. To see them open the email and follow the link.

How do subscriptions work?

Simply select the subscription option when you add a product to cart. Once you place your order you'll receive an email about your subscription (this make take several minutes). You can click the link in this email to view, change or cancel your subscription at any time.

What happens if I forget to pick up my order?

If you forget to pick up your order it will be donated to someone in need in the community. Where we can we'll do our best to accomodate you.
